    just found these metallic green beetles devouring weeds at my doorstep

    They are Green Dock Leaf Beetles, they feed on
    dock leaves funnily enough :D

    "feeding" doesn't quite describe it though ...anihilating would be closer :D

    Are they any relation of the ladybird I always think of them as a type of well ladybird...???

    Well the little green beetles are from the Chrysomelidae (Chry = green) faimily and ladybirds are Coccinellidae (Coccin= red) so I guess similar??
