    Not a fan of the friend zone myself.for me if a guy just wants to be friends it usually means he doesn't like me and doesn't want to be friends

    Sometimes people do want to be friends though. I know what you mean though, it can be used as a nice way of getting rid of somebody.

    Interesting..I have just signed up to Maybe Friends.com and the first thing I'm gonna do is attend a meet and greet session they're having in some pub on Baggot St. in a weeks time. I'm thinking this will tell a lot about the site and hopefully separate the "wolf" from the trees. Any one have any experience of this one?? Oh and hi all...first time poster, not so long time reader.

    Never did anything like that.I guess Id be quite wary as I know a few mates that went to a kind of speed dating night and the men out numbered the women something like 5 or 6 to 1.

Apologies, I'll know my place in future. and yeah I know what you mean...will keep you all posted if I'm allowed back in AND if I hold my nerve and actually go to this "soiree".:)

    no. Call it supersition but my real life relationships usually afll apart when I start talking about them / getting cocky (this is why I shouldn't be allowed post drunk!).

    Quick question for those on OKC, has it stopped emailing you when you get mail? It has with mine. Kind of annoying having to sign in to check if got mail all the time...

    Yeah just remembered you're not meant to be online while drunk you! I still get mails.though I find if I get a few in a day after a while I dont get emails for all of them.so are you getting a lot?

    I still get the notifications and then it stops after a while, basically the same as SUN says.

    I am a fan of not going into great detail on here about how it's going regarding specific people. Just sit tight and see what happens. I'll let ye know when the wedding is though :D:pac:

    After roughly 18months, Ive just deactivated my Anotherfriend account.
    Ive been dipping in and out of it - not been on every day for 18 months - and since January Ive been on 5 dates, but none of them got to date 2.
    Also cancelled my plentyofish account too, but that wasnt a success for me at all anyway.
    I dont socialise very much either tbh so Im probably going to be relationship free for a while yet too. Ive decided to be more focused on my job and get into a part time course and try and pass that instead of lounging around hoping to fall in love with someone over the internet.

    Best of luck to everyone else though.;)

    One of my best friends met a guy online recently and things are going swimmingly with them in the past few weeks. Her flat mate (male) also met a girleen on-line and that's also going well! :)
