    some like that kinda thing...

As i said a few pages back, apparently i'm toyboy/cougar material cos the last 5 of 6 women on POF who have checked me out without me visiting their profile or writing are all 10-15 years older than me.

And maybe the 18/19 yr old blokes are playing on the fact that they are at their sexual peak at that stage, and as larianne said, some women might like that sort of action

Hey All, I'm new to this online dating stuff. I've gathered what POF is but what site is OKC ? I've been looking through match.com but I'm wondering what's generally regarded as the best dating sites? Also, has anybody any useful tips. I'm a geezer, from Dublin :)

I believe the term is MILF Hunters. Look on the positives you must be pretty hot to get all that attention.

I didn't say sex is what they are all looking for, just acknowledging that a section of them will think like that. There'll be plenty of others who are just fed up of younger girls and prefer older women.

and speaking as a bloke in his mid 30's there is NOTHING wrong with women in their 30's!! :D

Nothing wrong with older women, dated a couple of them in the past and I found them very much more comfortable with themselves than some my own age or younger at the time. If you both fancy each other and have that spark whats age got to do with it is my thinking.

P.S Course if they did take the exhubby to the cleaners that helps :)

I meant the ladies will have a place of their own, whereas the 18/19 years old may still be living at home.

    Dammit.

Why did you lot not tell me about OKC before i decide to give the sites a break??

So far i'm having really nice chats with people. Real people. And they don't appear to be boardsies either!!

I joined it yesterday and sent out about 10 mails between today and yesterday. So far i'm on replies from 4 ladies.

That's like twice the amount of non boardsie chats i've had on POF. for a SHEDLOAD less mails!

    GRRRRRRRRR

    :mad::mad::mad:

OK Cupid seems to have a lot less traffic on it but I've noticed that people tend to reply back more on OKC myself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,566 ✭✭✭Gillo

I shows a lot of people who haven't logged in in ages though.

I wouldn't write him off until the far side of the weekend.

and if you know people who know him, why not use them for an arranged informal meetup??
Few drinks with mutual friends rather than a proper date type of thing.... might be easier.
You could share the pizza on the way home!!

A date won't kill ya though?

They could be separated for years, just waiting on a amicable divorce to be finalised? Never know unless you try.....

I know its just the whole divorcee thing and all the baggage that goes with that

If it's amicable, and just a matter of signing a piece of paper, all the financial stuff has been dealt with ages ago.

i wouldn't rule it out.... not until you find out the story.

And that means a face to face meet up.

Anyone around our age will have baggage D.

feck it, even the girl 8 years younger than me that i'm mailing is bound to have some baggage!!

Yeah that's true but if she's going into a dating scenario with someone she already has doubts about/not her thing, then what's the point? It's getting the guys hopes up and wasting her time.

Go with your gut Denise. I've twice put my feelings aside when friends had said to me "give him a chance" etc. etc. when I knew myself it wasn't gonna work out. And it didn't.

Go with it Denise, hey I'm seperated it's pretty amicable and just a case of waiting for the divorce to come though, he could well be the same.

Maybe just ask him about it then? Be honest with him. I think honesty is the best policy, especially with online dating stuff.

    Maybe it's Gillo! :D
