Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

Got a canon g11 from my girlfriend. Have a sturdy Monfrotto from dSlrs but was wondering if anyone could recommend a good durable, compact and light tripod that's handy for traveling.

    Cheers gezzajax,

Read this on dpchallenge. Should be fine for a g11 though.

The trouble is it doesn't offer the rigidity needed for the SLR it claims to support. We tried it on a Nikon D70 (not the heaviest SLR around) and there was a lot of residule bounce and vibration from the Gorillapod's structure. You can just about get around this by waiting for it to settle down using a 10secs self timer, but this is far from ideal. Also when wrapped around an object the weight of the camera tended to pull it downwards, making it annoying to use..."
