3D content ?? where and how?

OK as I am the most tech minded of the people I know I was given the task of getting 3D content for the inlaw who has just bought 3D and wants cartoons for the grand kids. I know you can get BluRay 3D player which is next on his buying list but before that and not having 3D on his cable supllier. Any one know of where to find any content? Even uncopyrigthed stuff to test glasses etc.

what tv did he buy?

Samsung have a deal that when you buy the TV & 3D bluray player you get "monsters vs aliens" for free.

Panasonic have a deal that if you buy the TV and 3D bluray player you get "Coraline" & "Ice Age 3" free.

Neither of these films are available to buy elsewhere. theres only 2 3D discs available to the general punter.

Other than that, Sky will be broadcasting in 3D on 1st october. if you subscribe to the Sky World HD Pack you will get the 3D channel at no extra cost. they are launching with the Ryder Cup in 3D http://www.rydercup.com/2010/europe/news/The-Ryder-Cup-in-3D.cfm

Thanks big_moe,

He got a 50" Samsung 3D ready with 2D to 3D converter. It works a little bit but its not great. Seem I will not be able to get any 3D for him as he lives in Poland so he does not want SKY. Seems I will have to wait until things get more out there. I will look for demo online and see if I can put it on a USB stick to bring over with me.

I got this side by side format to work on 7 serious Samsung TV if any want to try. "I got a feeling" 1GB 1080p & looked good. Any one else fine any content? :cool:
