Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi people

On May 19th last I went into my welfare office and asked could I be eligible for some sort of payment and gave my details. Im 21, in a full time college course but was on the JSA for over 6 months a year and a half ago. Now I didnt think I would be sucsessful but the lady sorting my forms said I would definetly be entitled to something and put my claim through.

Long story short, Iv called into the office twice in the last 3 weeks asking what the story was and from two different officers said that my claim was in backlog and would be seen too soon.

The question is am I actually in backlog or are they just messing me about as im not entitled to anything???

    Thanks

Are you entitled to Job Seekers Supprt if you're returning to college?

    I didn't think you were.

Thats the thing, im not actually sure, the three people i have talked to in the offices hav each told me ill be entitled to something. I filled in my repeat claim form and that was lodged then.

If it was the case where students were allowed sign on for the summer months everyone would be doing it.

I don't know what other payment you might be entitled to?

Thats what I thought aswell, but when they were explaining it to me they said that because I was previously on it for over 6 months and that I had worked up so many tax credits I was entitled to something. I'll let ya know how i get on, im going in again tommorow.
