    Alfred FTW!

That trophy list is very cryptic. Wonder what the difference is between the challenge map classic and revenge thing is?

I imagine the classic maps will be normal maps & the revenge ones would be based around villians (Joker & Black Mask have already had maps announced). Never played Arkham Asylum on PS3 (i'm mainly a 360 guy) what was Joker like to play with

Meh. I bought it preowned on ps3 for the playable joker challenge maps after getting 95% completed on the 360 version. It just felt like a tacked on afterthought to me, interesting for an hour or so but the lack of gadgets, grapnel hooks, and batman's vertical mobility in general took a lot of versatility out of the stealth challenges, which were my fave part of the game. You were pretty much grounded all the time and a lot of areas on the maps were locked off from you. The combat challenges were more or less the same, but without the array of gadgets batman has to mix up into his combos they just weren't as much fun. A one shot kill gun that you could fire once per round and a steerable chattering teeth bomb was pretty much all you got that was any use.

It was an interesting idea, but I do hope they go further this time and flesh out the different character's abilities for the arkham city challenge modes. It would add a lot of replayability to an already great part of the game if robin, catwoman, etc were as viable a choice as batman.

Based on the gameplay video on Catwoman, she will be as viable as Batman. Robin can reuse all of Batman's gadgets, but developers have said his fighting style will be completely different.

He's very different in the comics, if he's not in this then it'll be war with comics nerds.

Edit: Robin shown below from the Arkham city comic from last week.

    Sewer System confirmed
    http://www.arkhamcity.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1685
Kinda guessed this (look at the manhole in the gameplay demo where batman is beating up a informant for Riddler).
A article on the 1st hour of the game, spoilers obviously

I'm playing through arkham asylum (yet again) and just did that bit yesterday. It's hands down the worst part of a really great game. Most boring boss fight EVER!

This is excellent. I hadn't even considered that there would be sewers, but of course, why wouldn't there be? Even super villains gotta poop :D

This could add another dimension to what already looks to be an amazingly expansive gaming experience. I wonder who's down there..??..It has to be the location of Croc's lair, but i wonder who/what else?

There's the potential for rocksteady to really blow things out of the water with this game if the sewer system is a proper city-under-a-city and has lots to see and do apart from what's up on the streets. If it's got anything even close to the scale of the sewer systems and main sewer junction in AA I'll be a happy camper. I smell a GOTY or two if this thing lives up to it's potential.

I shouldn't read these kind of links because of the spoilers, but i can't resist. Some of the stuff described there that i didn't see in gameplay demos so far sounds excellent.

I really really want this game right now. October 21st can't come fast enough.

Reading comic 5 of Arkham City and Robin is looking a bit too buff imo. That preview is what super spoilers are made of, couldn't read it. Cannot wait to play this game!!

Combat challenge mode hands on from OXM. Includes info on new 2x and 3x simultaneous counters, dodging from knife attackers, and the mechanics of catching stuff that's chucked at you and chucking it back.

    SPOILER alert.

Hmm, i wonder how batman will deal with
    Deadshot
as a villain in terms of the inevitable boss battle.

It strikes me he'd be at a distinct disadvantage going toe to toe with him given his
    firepower and wrist mounted guns
    .

Perhaps they'll utilize a stealth mode, or cat and mouse approach, like the way the Mr. Freeze battle from the trailer looks like it's going to go??

Batman always wins, be it Kryptonite, Radion, or pack of matches he has the right tool for the job.
