Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I am starting a new job beside the Point Village, and will be commuting from adamstown.Anyone any idea how long I would need to get the train in from adamstown, then luas to connolly, and then luas to point village, and what cost be per week for tickets.

Will consider driving in , but figure it wouldbe quicker on the public transport

    any thoughts?

that seems to take around 75mins , train and luas might be quicker

Well firstly you would be getting a LUAS from Heuston direct to the Point Village, with no changes. The LUAS would take about 20 minutes to do that trip.

So you are talking about 45 minutes (allowing for walking/waiting time at Heuston).

The 151 while allowed 75 minutes probably does the trip in less than that.

The 151 would be a lot cheaper - €1.80 per journey using a 10 journey ticket, while the train/ Luas combo would be well over €3 per journey (not sure about weekly tickets giving better value here but station machine would let you experiment with your options).

The only caveat is that the 151 route is proposed to move to a new terminus in Foxborough while a new route, 25B would go to town from Adamstown via Lucan.

The quickest way would probably be train to heuston then luas to the point

Don't get on a LUAS at Heuston with destination Connolly. Wait for one that is going to the Point.
