Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

my partner and i have been getting rent allowance for close to 2 years moved to a new house this week was told we just had to show esb bil and have it switched over but now when my partner went to do that they gave him 2 of forms to fill in. we are having to re apply all over again. will it be a problem? he doesnt think so as im his "dependent" and not a main applicant. we also have 1 child. I have no gnib card as im awaiting decision on if im granted leave to remain. so i can only assume they will reject our rent allowance application, please any advice. im super worried.

EDIT forgot to say they want to put us on the RAS scheme.
which when i read is not for non nationals.

whenever you move you need to get new RA forms signed by new landlord this has always been the case if you got it in your last place then dont see why you shouldnt now unless its over the limit for your area

Nothing wrong with RAS, its a good scheme for tenants.

It is normal to effectively make a new application when moving, as it is a new claim for the landlord in question.

dont think i described the situation well enough, my partner is irish he claims for me and our daughter, we moved house, new community welfare officer is known to be a stickler. im non eu, and am awaiting for a decision to be made on my entitlement to stay here. so i no gnib number. Im a dependant on his claim for rent allowance. do i need to meet habitual residency will i be asked for gnib number? since on the form it has you state you nationality.
