If the answer is no and thats the decision well thats ok but can you please explain just why they feel they are any more liable in terms of an Alcohol forum as apposed to a Smoking forum.

People are only frustrated/angry/pissed off because the reason given isn't been elaborated on and therefore doesn't make sence.

Mods must be fed up telling people they can't have an alcohol forum but communication is all it takes and if there is a genuine reason let people know and perhaps they will understand. On this note perhaps a new forum entitled " discussion on do's/don'ts why's/why nots of New forums".
