Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Compared to an entry level DSLR how would you rate this camera(Particularly colour reproduction and clarity) judging by the above photo? Providing the photographer, lighting e.t.c. is a constant of course.

For those interested the phone is a HTC Desire (5MPx Sensor with a 2mm lens =/)

Definitely not bad for a picture off a phone.

Not bad at all. A bit blurred and soft in some places. But good

    Did you take it?

I didn't take it myself but i'm just interested in the potential of the camera (I've one myself).

That's the thing though, it's not a camera you're using as such. It's a phone with a camera. Don't get me wrong it's an impressive picture coming from a phone but a DSLR will be much more versatile. A larger sensor and the ability to attach different lenses depending on what you want to do will always trump a phone camera.

Also bear in mind that the image was probably taken in very bright sunlight. Performance may not be as good in dull lighting conditions.

it's not the OP's shot, so how do we know this hasn't undergone PP?

Even if it has (Which I doubt for many reasons) no amount of post processing can make a crap camera take a photo like that.
