Didn't think I could love Arcade Fire more but I do now. Must admit it was an emotional ride.

was anyone else lucky enough to catch them at Oxegen this year?

Yeah. They didn't get as big a crowd as they deserved but man, the folks at David Guetta have no f*cking idea what they missed out on. They were great, but even since then, the new songs have taken on a lot more muscle. It's kind of a shame this webcast hadn't happened by then, I think people would have had a far better idea of what they're about.

Thing is, I wish they'd figure out how to nail down whatever they have live onto a disc. Month of May has been one of my favourites since I first saw them play it, but the studio version is far too flat by comparison. I wish they'd try the songs out live a few times and hammer them into shape before committing them to disc.

I wish I'd seen this thread sooner, btw. ;)

I'm curious, have any of ye not heard them much or seen them play before?

If Jill V is online, is there any remote possibility of burning bridges? Can't describe how much I love that song.

    Sorry for the delay :p

For what it's worth, I only know of them ever playing that once, years ago, so it's unlikely to resurface anytime in the near future I'm afraid.

Ah, that's a shame. Always felt it was good enough to emerge onto an album, in the way no cars go did, but who knows- maybe it will some day!

I'm still in a haze after that performance, they were amazing.

There is an instrumental studio version of it floating around, I can dig it out if you don't have it, but I think the lyrics are kinda the making of it.

Out of interest, I think they're on Jon Stewart on the 12th.
