Hi girls, well we are giving it a good go this week. I think hubby really wants to follow in the footsteps of his best friend who got a positive result. (well his wife) recently.
Have ye tried acupuncture? I'm going every 3 wks or so. Heard some good success stories out of it.
Wishing ye all well and that we all get good news soon. Feeling much more positive this week.

i went for acupuncture for 6 months last november and have started back again now 6 weeks ago

at the very least it will help u relax

it takes 3 months to help develop a mature egg

ii find my acu very helpful to talk to even, 90% of her work is infertility
i just began the basal body temps because of this new acu i am trying out - i guess the 1st lady was more to help bring me out of my shell i found it even hard to say to my GP that i wanted to start a family...and Im 33! and married 4 years next week! altho she did get me onto using the right vitamins and CD's to help relax too.

so overall yes beneficial altho it can add up, but then u can claim from VHI too - how do you find it?

My friend swears by the acupuncture! She was trying to get pregnant for about a year after having 2 miscarriages and she swears that she got pregnant after her 2nd session of acupuncture and that having the acupuncture has been the reason that this pregnancy has so far been successful.

She says that she can feel the pins releasing her trapped energy and she always feels really positive after a session. I think there's an awful lot to be said for alternative therapies, so long as you attend the right practitionners.

I'm actually considering having some acupuncture just for general wellbeing. I wanna feel my positive energy being released!!

Hi Sarah, I find the acupuncture good. The person I'm going to was recommended by other people who've had success stories. I find I sleep great after it and feel a lot better. Had a bit of a melt down the last day and she's a great listener with good advice aswell as the acupuncture. No one knows we're ttc'ing so it gets stressful keeping it all in.

Wishing ye well and we all get good news soon.

By the way there's a really good website with an excellent ttc forum on www.realweddings.ie

Ok I am experiencing light brown discharge still - very sporadic since Monday and its very light

This has not happened before - my cycle is usually 23/24 days therefore I am due my period due today/tom

My mind is going into overtime - like detective mentioned is it possible this is an implantation bleed

I am afraid to test as it early and I still could have my period :(

Do whatever suits you - it's totally up to you. I agree - it is sometimes better to just wait til your period arrives, I just don't have that willpower myself and doubt I ever will

Well still no sign of Aunt Flow

Is it possible I could be considering I have been trying for so long and I only had sex once this cycle that I could be

This is why I wont test I feel silly

I also have come down with flu I wonder could this delay my period

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,196 ✭✭✭crazy cat lady

    Do a test :D

I wouldn't have thought that the flu could delay your period. Aren't you waiting for an appointment with HARI or am I thinking of someone else?

I've heard lots of stories of people who relax once they've been referred to a specialist and get preggers before the appointment arrives.

Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Welcome nybe and best of luck

My mucus looking good and have been getting jiggy - I have a good feeling this month

Detective I have ordered a pack of ovulation and preg tests from ebay - great price and thanks for that tip

more baby dust for all xxxxxx

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭DetectivFoxtrot

Welcom Nyeb! I had one of those transvaginal scans the other day. The word 'Dildocam' sprang to mind! Hope your appt goes well, keep us posted!

nice one Cinderella. The great thing is they're so cheap you won't mind using a few a day (just to make you even more neurotic during the testing phase like) :D

thanks for the warm welcome ladies, I will keep ye posted on the updates but I have been eating like a horse the last few days and know have put up weight so he'll eat me over that as I would be a size 18 so very overweight in the eyes of the doc, although I have lost a LOT of weight over the past 2 years to help getting preggers

Got a postive test. Thrilled but scared as none of my pregnancies have gone well.Terrified to do another test and figured i would wait a week until I have a hospital appointment and talk to the midwife there. Trying hard not to get too excited but as each day passes I can't help it.

Just to say a little about this month. I thought 3 times that I had ovulated. I had one day of lots of CF the next day my temp rose and CF vanished only to find the next morning that my temp had dropped again and lots of CF. This happened for six consective days. Counting the last one as when I ovulated (day 37).

This makes me wonder whether you release the egg before or after your tempetature rises. Most books assume before but they say that they can't be certain.

Congrats Skadi. Good to have some good news. Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

Welcome NYEB. Well I got my AF on Sunday so back to square one again. Had blood tests yesterday to go to Cork. Have an appointment next week in Cork Fertility Clinic. It's about 18 months for us now and we gave it a great go last month so I really need answers.

It seems so easy for everyone else but we have no luck. A bit down in the dumps the last few days. Ah well onwards and upwards.
