Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. That's a magnificent analysis. Didn't realize Tipp defense were so prone to leaking goals. They have flair and can kick points from distance. Still undecided whether they're worth a punt at 7/4.
    Thanks

Tipp are 2/1 on Bet 365.

I think Kerry and Waterford (sadly) will win this weekend, and I think I'll take Monaghan and Mayo on handicaps. Unsure if I'll go for Tipp yet.

What game are we playing this weekend?

Total points under 40.5 at 10/11 in Limerick Tipp 21 game might be a bit high with the weather today. There was a total of 44 points in the Clare game last night in ideal conditions. It's the first game for both teams so they will be lacking in proper match practice. From a Tipp perspective our forward line wouldn't be full of prolific scores at club level.

A huge factor will be if Tipp concede goals.
They were the side that conceded the joint most goals (11) and the least number of points of all 32 teams in the league. Last year they had a couple of games where they conceded 4 goals. Louth were hapless the last day and that was the only game between the league and championship 9 games in total where Tipp didnt concede a goal. The concession of goals looks to be a significant issue for Tipp

As against that Tyrone's attack is definitely nothing to be all that afraid of - 1-10 against Donegal, 1-14 against Limerick and 1-10 against Meath in the championship isn't exactly scary stuff They only scored 3-76 in the league (a total of 85 points) of an average of 12 points a game.

Tyrone are a side who look very battle-hardened and experienced to me in comparison to Tipp but Tipp have some very decent forwards who are well capable of taking a score.

Maybe back Tipp to win but arbitrage some of the risk by backing Tyrone to score 1 or more goals maybe? If Tipp don't concede a goal I'd give them a great chance of winning. If they concede 1 their chances drop a fair bit and if they concede 2 or more it's hard to see them getting a result. Not exactly startling but I think goals in this game will be even more vital than normal.

Good analysis and I'm considering putting Tyrone over .5 goals in, but does anyone who watches Tyrone know what their goal threat is like? In the league they didn't score many and they've averaged one goal a game this Summer, but would they create many goal chances, are they clinical etc?

The goals killed this, no real sweepers or defensive tactics in the game at all.

A novelty bet of sorts but P.Mannion for an All Star is 12/1 with PP.

He's the same price as J.Coen and he's played far better, if we beat Cork and make a semi final we're likely to have 1 or 2 and he's been our best player so far.

The Full Back line is a hard place to win an All Star, Cathal Barrett got Young Player of The Year and still missed out on one last year. Barrett, Barry, Murphy, Holden, Connors will all be pushing hard this year.

What about Cathal? Decent shout too surely.

League result was Donegal 1-4 to Monaghan 0-9 in a dire game and the lineups were not that far from the likely starting 15s the next day. Both sides played ultra defensively. +3 looks like a big shout at those odds.

11/4 to win with skybet tempts me and betfair sportsbook have the +3 at 21/20

Let himself down in the last game being anonymous after hitting an early point.

Padraig has been stellar throughout though.
Pricing Coen the same shows a mistake in my eyes as they haven't been anywhere near equal.

Of the forwards Cyril Donnellan is probably first in line with Canning a close second.

Ive backed Tyrone 1 or more goals, Monaghan +4, Kerry and Mayo -6 at about 5/1.

I've been eyeing this one up all day and it's only now I've decided to definitely place the bet.

Kerry vs Cork - David Moran MOTM 8/1

My reasoning is that he was our best player last time out until the black card. After the card our midfield really did fall apart and Alan O'Conor ran riot, and he subsequently was awarded MOTM for that game. However if Moran stays on the field for the whole game this time and Kerry come out as winners (which I think is very likely), I think he has a good shot of MOTM.

Heavy rain all weekend in the West. Going to be horrible conditions for this evening's game.

Galway v Derry under 29.5 points with Bet365 (Evs)

3small bets for added interest in the game.

Red card, yes, 11/8. I expect a much tougher encounter and the conditions might aid in the giving of yellows.

Donaghy motm 16/1. If the wind blows I expect plenty of high balls into the square and against the wind he might aid Kerry's midfield.

Under 32.5 is 5/6 looks good given the weather might upset shooting

Good call, very comfortable, hard beat Galway weather.

Cyril Donnellan the only Galway man I think has a hope. Wouldn't be hard for Canning I suppose one game and he'd be in the reckoning at least.

Galway won't get more than one though if they lose an all Ireland semi, which they will if they don't lose on Sunday week.

    Red card yes

Donaghy was more concerned with grabbing players around the neck

23 points, unders was a gift

365 do alternative total points, worth keeping in mind on a bad day. Under 28.5 was 4/1, under 30.5 9/4.

Never even looked, a pity as I would definitely got on that. After 10 mins the scoring slowed considerably.

Ye they started quick but it descended into a poor game. I thought the bookies would have dropped the line with the weather and after seeing how it effected the Derry game.

Ah for f*ck sake. I had 20 on him as well.. At least I can take satisfaction in the fact that I was probably correct.

JOD today and Brendan Maher last Sunday at 20/1, you'd wonder are the boys picking pulling a fast one. Neither player anywhere near MOTM.

    Monaghan v Donegal

The Ulster final in 2013 produced 1 goal, no goals in the 2014 final between these sides. 1 goal when the sides met earlier this year in the League.
Therefore, i don't think there'll be many goals with the damp conditions and the defensive set ups of both teams being a factor also.

    Under 1.5 goals (Evs)
Under 0.5 goals (4/1) small stake for value
Draw half time/full time (40/1) small stake for value

    All odds with Bet365.
