Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Odds are up on PP for Wednesdays O'Byrne Cup games. Any thoughts in particular the Dubs at 11/8 vs UCD?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

They beat DCU by 7 points.

DCU are 4th favs for Sigerson. UCD are 3rd favs for Sigerson.

Based on that I'll have a score on the Dubs :)

DCU allowed a few of their lads to play with Roscommon yesterday - just something to bear in mind. I'm not sure how much of their first team UCD are fielding in the O'Byrne cup either, so it may not even be a factor.

15/8 seems pretty big for Kerry given the team they've named against Cork.

15/8 was a nutso price. It's already narrowed - would agree it's a fairly strong team for this time of year. A lot of serious quality among the younger lads.

Shortened significantly across the board as expected, 9/5 still with 365 only.

    Bookies reacting now:

Ya it's drying up. Still 7/4 SJ and Betway. 9/5 bwin although they'll barely lay a tenner.

Are we thinking Kerry are fit here?

I think, given last week's result and the team he has named, that Fitzmaurice wants to beat Dublin and get rid of the voodoo!

Bet365 still taking at 6/4. Amount doesnt't seem to be a bother. They took my bag of sand no bother... ha ha...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,553 ✭✭✭✭Copper_pipe

Fitzmaurice says they're in a better position than where they were 12 months ago.

I see Lads were 15/8 and now into 8/11 lol

They are the best bookies by a country mile. Fair play to them.

A serious shift in odds in the last hour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 999 ✭✭✭mjp

Most them changes are on the strength of the teams rather than amount of money. Its not always money that shifts these prices. Plus a few 50euro bets would move these early season markets especially when powers were first to move. Rest are sheep that follow them.

I can't see that account staying open long if its in any way profitable. Would love to back GAA with 365 but it's like petrol to a fire for getting an a/c caught
