Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice on Camera for photographing animals

    Hi folks

looking for a bit of advice. A friend of mine who volunteers at our rescue takes photos for our website/calendar. christmas cards etc. She is looking to upgrade her camera. She has been using a Fuji finepix S5800, but thinks a smaller, hand held would be easier to work with. She has been looking at the Sony NEX-5K but the flash is an attachment, which causes problems when you are trying to get a dog or cat to pose (imagine saying, hold that pose till I find and attach my flash ).

The camera she is seeking would be small enough to grab and shoot, have video capability (for our website) and a built in flash. And of course be easy enough to buy. Any ideas please.

Perhaps a Panasonic DMC TZ10 would be suitable for your needs..

It's got a 12x zoom so if you see that perfect pose by one of the animals from a distance you can get it easily with this camera.. It's also got a manual mode if that's what you want either but the Auto mode by Panasonic tends to be pretty good generally...

it's also got 720p HD recording so that's pretty good too...

it's worth a look anyways imo
