Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Utility Bill

    I have to go into the SWO tomorrow with a utility bill as I am changing my address and as I live with my dad they also wanted a letter saying that I live there with him fro him. But the problem is that the utility bills are in the landlords name and so the SWO office want a letter from the landlord aswell saying I live there but the landlord won't give me a letter because my dad pays cash in hand to the landlord and he doesn't declare it, they are friends of my dads.

    So what do I do???

    you explain this to the SWO or do up the letter yourself

    Do not advocated fraud on this forum. Infracted.

    Do not do up the letter yourself - that is fraud.

    Your father must have some post to the address - be it a bank statement, mobile phone bill, anything like that which will do for proof.

    I took in the bank statment and they won't accept it, said it's not enough!!! So we're getting a phone line put in in his name.
    The girl in the citizens information said to just go in with everything I have!!

    Fraud is when you lie about something to the swo however if you live with a parent and all utility bills are in parent or landlords name yet you need something to prove that you live where you say you live or else you are not going to get social welfare payment which you are entitled to then doing up a letter yourself saying that you pay x amount towards rent etc and putting landlords name at end of it is not fraud especially if landlord wont sign it because he is not legit
