Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want to buy a 50cc moped. Something cheap but reliable. Where and what would you recommend. As in do you know any moped shops doing good deals. Im in South Dublin.

You could have a look in bike world on the longmile road or scooter city on the quays up near the back of guinness.

Shop around because there are lots of deals to be had - I would advise a 125cc scooter as a 50cc is very under powered.

The problem with being under powered is that as a motorisd vehicle you'll be forced to ride in traffic but 50cc will mean you can't keep up so you'll end up geting overtaken a lot by frustraited drivers - not some where you want to be as a novice.

I saw a good deal on a Suziki LN 125 cc in delaneys Harolds cross a month ago I think it was around €1900 new - give them a shout, they specialise in Mopeds.

Agree with what Tearaway said about getting a 125 rather than a 50. 50's have no zip in them at all and can be slow away from the lights.

A 125 on the other hand is a bit of a step up powerwise but well worth having as they are quick off the mark and can give you an extra burst of acceleration when needed (hopefully not but sometimes you've to accelerate to avoid a collision so its good to have it when necessary).

Plus 50cc's have the most annoying noise coming from the engine, its loud and sounds like a high pitched lawnmower. Annoying for those it passes and even more annoying for the rider who's always on it. Trust me, the noise out of them will be fun at first but soon wreck your head after a while.

    Just my 2c ;)
