Chef I absoutly dispise Heinz sauce.

Chef is nice and thick, and it bloody well tastes better.

Heinz reminds me of the likes of the crap you get in
your local chip shop where red sauce has been diluted with
vinigear where its this watery runny red sh1te.

Not much of a ketchup person but anytime I have it I'm not bothered by what brand it is!

Yeah but in fairness, he was a bit of a gourmand, what with his fava beans and chianti.

as a chronic sufferer of ulcers its got be Heinz, its so easy on the stomach. Chef on the other hand is like eating feckin razor blades.

Anyone that really knows their ketchup would say Chef.
Heinz has far too much sugar in it, like a tomato flavoured sweetener.

I used to eat Heinz ketchup all the time, until I discovered the amazing taste of Chef tomato ketchup.
Haven't looked back since and there's not a day that goes by in which I regret my decision.

    Has to be Chef.
Also, it tastes better from the glass bottle, rather than the plastic one. Fact. :P
Just like coke is best from a glass bottle. Then a can. Then a plastic bottle. There's just a natural order to these things, trust me! :pac:

I can't make up my mind on this one though...

Anyone who thinks Chef is inferior should be killed until they are dead from death.

Chef, being Irish, wins out for me... but also cos it's way better.. Heinz is the Riverrock of the ketchup game..

    Chef AINEC

I am pretty sure Heinz is just reallly two part chef and eight parts water. The more important question is why is tastes so much different from the glass verus the plastic bottle? Glass bottle is far superior!

    Chef.

It's manlier. You know, for men.

    Heinz is girly.

I so wish they'd use these as their slogans. Chef would win every time.

those value ones in the 750 ml-ish size red bottles, there kinda spicy, generally savage.

the red sauces at chippers are aklways savage too, whatever they are.

Not sure and most often just take what's available/some cheap brand.
I've started to use Franks Redhot instead of ketchup.

True, both Dunnes and Tesco have excellent ketchup in those 750ml bottles. Anyone remember those nasty big red bottles that Crazy Prices used to sell, and then Tesco after them, with the little white cap? That stuff was horrible

Such an utterly tedious debate, started as a joke and has now become a perpetual annoyance to anyone who is unfortunate enough to find themselves in the company of idiots from time to time, that is to say everyone.

Have either of you done a blind tasting on the Coke or Ketchup glass/plastic bottle theory?

I'm sure it would give interesting results.

All ketchup sucks, if you ask me!!
