Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to get work from restoring old or torn photos? and how would you charge?

It depends on where you are whether you will get a lot, a lot is about passing trade for me, every once in a while I will do one and the client will tell all their friends so I could get a few days work from it.

I know of one place that would charge say 50 upwards for a restoration that I would say would be average.

I dont charge much for it at all tbh, I base it on my time spent really, I charge for the prints and then I charge a standard 5 on top of that, if it takes say more than 20 mns or so I will charge 10 for the work but it depends. Averaging at 25 for an 8 x 10 or 30 for 2 5x7 The odd time I will have someone who would want a number of prints and spend 80 or more getting these prints, then I would pretty much waive the editing fee. I like to look after my clients as they then come back to me but I would by no means make a full time wage out of it.

It depends really, the average one will only take me 10mns max as I am so used to doing it.
