Hi folks , as some of ye may know I have a 10/22 (yes shock horror a 10/22) while I loved it as it was , I did tweak a few parts such as trigger ,stock, some buffers , pins & springs etc etc .. but nothing major :) so now she shoots fair well and most important for me is damn comfy .. anyways a mate of mine is getting in…

Hi folks ,
as some of ye may know I have a 10/22 (yes shock horror a 10/22) while I loved it as it was , I did tweak a few parts such as trigger ,stock, some buffers , pins & springs etc etc ..

a mate of mine is getting in to gallery rifle and was looking at the 10/22 as the rifle he was going to get.. I have explained that it would probably need to additional parts to make it worth while ...

so I would like to give him a clear idea of where he would go ...

so what would you recommend for the 10/22 for gallery rifle

from stock , trigger and barrel etc etc if you have links send them on (hope thats ok with mods)

also please dont turn this in to a 10/22 bashing thread as all the other seem to on here .. I like mine , everyone I know who has one likes it , it shoots greats and does so round after round after round .. so leave the I shot one once and missed the barn door comments

Funny I was only looking up gallery shooting on th web last night I have a 10/22 delux and would like to give it a bash. BTW my 10/22 is a lovely rifle and I havent yet started to tweek it.:)

Even funnier, I was only looking them up on the net last night too

I'm planning to get one in the near future with the intention of taking up Gallery rifle smallbore.

You should have a look at the competition calendar on www.nasrpc.ie and come along to the next shoot where you will find lots of people only too happy to point you in the right direction.

Have a look at this thread, and especially post No. 22. If I was getting a 10/22 that'd be the first thing I'd buy

I have a Choate Dragunov Stock, with spacers and cheekpiece €90
Installed and used twice, but pristine.

I have had 2 x 10/22's, neither was tweaked, through the years and found both excellent rifles, especially for shooting bunnies.

If I could have another rifle I would definately have one :cool:

Yea, it got a good review in this months "Shooting Sports" magazine.
I'm sure it will need work but I can do that over time.

have to agree kkelly77 thats a lovely looking ruger ..

I have asked at our range to see about GR training some day and if it becomes an option Ill be sure to put it up here as it might be better then just entering a compitition on the fly ..
