BHP vs PS

    What's the difference in measurement between BHP and PS?

    PS = PferdeStärke which is german for horsepower.

    BHP = brake horsepower

    Is PS used to measure crankshaft power and BHP used to measure wheel horsepower?

    no ..kilowatts is for hairdryers ...mine's got 1.2 :D

    afaik you're correct about PS being at the crankshaft and bhp somewhere further down the drivetrain, possibly the brakes/wheels

    Yes but how are you measuring the power so you can compare it to the weight?
