Nissan Terrano Immobiliser

Anyone know of a means of bypassing the factory immobiliser (fair means or foul!) on a 1995 2.4 petrol Terrano. The immobiliser fob started getting intermittent, so I bought a new one at the dealer, but they couldn't get it to program. The old fob has now broken completely so the car is dead. It is also fitted with a Cobra alarm/immobiliser, so I don't need the factory immobiliser.

Hopefully someone can help and save the car from the crusher!

PM me if your suggestions are sensitive!

    Malcolm

The car went into the Nissan dealer in Navan and I would have thought they would have done that to try and fix it. Instead, they said that it MUST BE the after-market alarm that is interfering with it, even though the two had been working side-by-side for 2-3 years earlier.

Would appreciate contact details of your contact in Cork.

If you PM me, I'll give you details of the chap who fixed mine. He is based in Meath and covers the Dublin area. The immobiliser has two units and it's a case of joining three pairs of wires on one of these units. It'll probably be up behind the dash somewhere.

Apparently, it is sometimes left to the dealer to fit the immobiliser and there is a bypass plug fitted that the dealer needs to remove to install the units. It's a case of replicating this bypass plug.
