I have a 10 week old mini schnauzer pup who was born on 31st may 2010. our breeder got his first vacc's done according to his card on the 23 july 2010. breeder told us he would need next shots between 6th and 20th of aug so we brought him today. i forgot his card tho and the other vet used a different brand of vaccine so i dunno if this makes a difference. So far his vacc's are as follows:

23-07-10 Eurican DHPPi and Eurican L
    10-08-10 Duramine DAPPi +LC

Does this make him adequately covered and if so how long will it be until i can walk him and socialise him with other dogs??:confused::confused:

If you give your vet a buzz they should be able to tell you the situation and if different brands provide different cover.

Don't for get to wait at least 10 days after your pups last vax to bring him out to socalise! ;)

will do tomoro! such a ditz forgetting the card. we also got him microchipped so i was distracted by that and forgot to ask more bout vaccine when i was there. hate the idea of him being in pain!! im too soft lol! only realised it was a different brand when i got home as she gave me the bottle to use the sticker! am worrying that it might not work now!

It doesnt matter if its a diff brand as there are several diff brands of vaccine that all do the same job so no need to worry.

I'm guessing they would all have the same basic ingredients, just put in the bottle by a different company ;) I'm sure the Vet would have said something at the time if it made a difference.
