Magic trick gone wrong

I've been learning the magic trade for almost 2 months now and was showing my friends a few tricks I picked up off the telly. I tried doing the one where you put an item in a box and then make it disappear. One of mates allowed me to use his wedding ring so I put it in the box, threw a cover over it, said the magic words and waalaa the ring was gone. Thing is though I haven't a clue where it went. Now I owe my mate one wedding ring. Disaster or what?

Magic is claimed as an art of altering things by supernatural way.

    Maybe by harry potter.

Magic is slight of hand and trickery.

So David Copperfield making the statue of Liberty vanish was trickery?

No, he is an actual wizard.

    Of course it was trickery.

Ask the guy where you've bought the box from. Maybe he knows where it went.

More than just having lost his friends wedding ring--he has to marry the friend's wife now as well!
