Driving to Dublin on Sunday I saw a rather idiotic display. I'm all for supporting my team, but not to the extent that I can't see out the rear-view!

    get a life!

I'd say he regretted the trip more than anything!

he could have been driving a van with no rear window at all and nobody would have batted an eyelid. what's your point, other than to try and point the finger?

I doubt he regretted it on the toll roads...

I have a sticker in my rear window at the minute due to doing the All The Way Round charity drive and I cant see out my back window.

I find the two side mirrors and good observation sufficient to see everything around me.

I have also drove vans with totally blocked up rear windows perfectly safely.

So whats your point? And how is it idiotic?

at least you can see this guys number plate. the amount of hidden number plates on match days is almost funny.

I have very little visability out my back window because of the spoiler on my car; you learn to adapt pretty quickly.

seeing it in peripheral vision flapping in and out of rear view mirror coverage may get a bit distracting but thats all...

I'd far more regret being from Cork :D

I was expecting so much more then a flag hanging off of a car.

Quite a few negative comments I see :D

I was just pointing out that it would surely be hard to see out the rear view.

Btw I am Cork and I regretted the trip ;) New road is great though.

Not the most dangerous thing ever, but it seems a bit pointless when it could clearly have just been attached lower down so as not to obstruct the view.

Also, just for arguments sake, most vans with a blocked out back window would have bigger wing mirrors set further out to give a better view.

How wonderfully tacky. You may as well go for the
    Three Wolf Moon design.

Nope, though it is rapidly going that way. The responses have some have made me question why companies bother to put a rear view window in at all!;)
