My PC is a couple of years old now and it only has 1GB of RAM (2 x 512MB)
I'm looking to add more memory, maybe up to 2/3 GB

The type of RAM currently in my PC is
    DDR2, CL4, PC2-4200, 533 MHz

What do i need to take into consideration when buying new RAM,
    Thanks.

    Standard Memory : 0GB
    Maximum Memory : 2GB
    Total Memory Slots : 2
    Memory Type : DDR2 PC2-5300 (667MHz) DIMM or DDR2 PC2-4200 (533MHz) DIMM
Notes : The MS-7301 supports either DDR2-533 or DDR2-667 memory - install DDR2-667 for best performance.

Basically, sell the 2x512mb ram sticks you have, and buy 2x1gb sticks of either PC5300 or PC4200 DDR2 RAM. Make sure you get matching sticks.

This is perfect for what you're looking for
