Great, gutsy performance from Liverpool, considering.

Unlucky with the goal at the end. Awful one to concede. A draw probably the right result though

Did that hit Chamkhs arm for the goal?

    couldnt really see

Not a bad result for Arsenal, actually.

Just a shame how dull we seemed on the attack, besides Rosicky's attempt in the second half amongst a couple of other things. Lucky to get the goal but I think we deserved it anyway.

    Draw fair result.

joe cole robbed you, and really you didn't play well enough to deserve 3 points.

That really hurt of all players for that to happen to pepe one of the best keepers in the league if not the best  Andy gray you twat the ref sent him off to level the teams yeah thats why he sent wilshire off because in the 94 minute it really made much difference.

I thought Reina took his goal well.

And Wilshire should have been sent off for his studs up tackle on Macherano. Referee was terrible.

So Gerrard should have been sent off too, we can play this game all day.
The worst tackle in the whole game was Coles though to be fair!

More encouraging opening performance from Liverpool of the two, I think.

Terrible game with both teams showing pretty much the same flaws as they did last season.

Gutted for Pepe, but he is not the type to let a mistake mess with his confidence for future games.

Exactly so Gray should never have mentioned it

I'd be worried if I was an Arsenal fan. They never looked like scoring until that blunder. No doubt Wenger will be out moaning about the referee.

Arsenal really missed Fabregas. A lucky escape for them in the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 513 ✭✭✭Qwerty27

Reina's just desserts for trying to put Barca jersey on Cesc..ha ha!!

Plus he'll lose a few fantasy points for that!!!!

Really wasn't the greatest game to be honest. Not a whole lot of goal mouth action to be getting excited about bar the goals.

Bad decisions from the ref for both teams. Liverpool had the game by the scruff of the neck when they went up 1-0 but conceded possession too easily which allowed Arsenal back in it who got a pretty lucky goal imo.

They really hadn't created too many clear cut chances in front of goal. Same could be said for both teams really.

A draw is a fair result all around.

Arsenal got off the hook with a Pepe OG.
Liverpool down to 10 men and defended very well.
Liverpool very unlucky. Would have definatly beaten arsenal 11 v 11 IMO

Most teams would struggle missing their first choice striker and midfield three.

Good result for Arsenal all things considered.

The Premier League really need to do something about the balls, according to Jamie Redknapp the literally explode off your foot when you hit it.

Carra's a great pro, giving respect to Rafa while keeping the new manager happy

Delighted with the point (as I said I would be before the game) considering how many players we have missing/haven't had a proper pre-season. At the same time, I was disappointed that we looked so inept against 10 men.

To say liverpool didn't deserve the 3 points is an incorrect statement IMO. Thats all i'm saying.

They got lucky with their goal and didn't really threaten much apart from that!

we don't look like we're going to be champions going by todays game. still the same old probelms(lack of width and goalkeepr) and we just lack it agaisn't top team. A draw is better then nothing

    Happy with a point.

But I really thought we were really poor second half. We didn't have a clear cut chance until the last 5 minutes.

It really reinforces the views that Almunia is nowhere near good enough and several additions ARE needed.

2 CBs and already one is suspended while the reserve has a new long term injury. We probably need 2 CB's to be safe.

Arsenal were there for the taking. If Liverpool want to realistically challenge for the league they are going to have to put away teams like that.

    Not happy with the draw.

they worked hard but there goal was down to almunia's bad position
we had 80% of the ball but like last year we can't break down big teams

TBH I already think the best we can hope for is a quiet end to the season having already secured a CL spot, no chance of challenging for the title tbh.

    As did Arsenal.
Arsenal looked toothless. Liverpool done what any team would have in the situation, and done it effectively. Arsenal were extremely lucky today.

    boourns :(
neither team looked too great. arsenal didnt inspire when in possesion and liverpool were also quite wasteful. probably a fair result but what a goal to give it away :/

Liverpol were for the taking Arsenal would be more disappointed

Don't get me wrong, I don't think arsenal deserved 3 either but Liverpool did nothing to justify a lead with 11 men and needed a mistake in front of the 18 yd box and very poor goal-keeping to go into the lead. This was followed by a crap 40 minutes from both teams. Result: score draw.
