Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know anything about training of soldiers in Ireland for the Boer War? I noticed the National Library of Ireland photo database has a couple of military images of a military camp in Rush Co.Dublin and horse soldiers fjording Rogerstown estuary. I understand this was in preparation for crossing rivers in South Africa. Can anyone tell me anything more?

I remember seeing photos of soldiers in training for the Boer War at Finner Camp (may have had a different name back then) outside Bundoran in Donegal. Wish I had more info but hope it helps.
