Roadworks on N17 before Claregalway

Hi, there's roadworks on the N17 before Claregalway. Anyone know what's happening, there's about 1 million cones but I haven't seen anyone working ont the road. Cheers, Pa.

This might explain it - They are going to widen the bridge.

Thanks but I'm not sure if that's related (I could be wrong).
the cones are on the town side of CGalway, just before the bus lane.

I think they are re-surfacing the road cos it's bumpy as feck. They made a balls of it when they put in the bus lane a while back.

Yep as I said in that thread, there's no money to fix the road and this is just a new layout to divert people away from the uneven parts of the road.
