Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey All,

Got my new PC yesterday. Really happy with it. It has an 80gb SSD for main OS drive and a 1TB drive as a secondary.

What i want to do is make a partition on the 1TB drive and make an image or backup image of my OS drive ? Iv never done anything like this and with the added SSD drive being my first time working with a SSD im looking for help on whats involved?

What software do i need? Does it do it all for me in an easy step by step? Is it free?

    Any help is appreciated thanks!

Reading up on it now, do you know if i need to have a partition created first? Should i create the partition on the 1TB, can i do this within windows?

    SEE here
    http://www.windows7news.com/2009/09/23/how-to-create-a-partition-in-windows-7/
you can simply backup to the formatted 1tb drive, make new folder eg backup 1.ie just backup to the folder
or create partition say 500 gig in size.
do not create partion,on drive c:\ as this could mess up your existing windows os, installation.
ie do not change or,partition c, the ssd drive. your 1tb drive is probably labeled, drive d,or e.
give partition name ,eg backup 1.
its free, follow instructions in the link, or just make a folder called Backup.
give partition a volume name eg Drive f.
i would not change the ssd, drive c ,at all,as it is designed for hi speed loading, of the os, windows 7.
you could make 1 partition ,size 85gig ,to backup drive c:\
