Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would like to be signed in to two Skype accounts simultaneously on my Mac. Is that possible? And if so, how?

    Thanks!

From that site you just need the following.
What I've done to run multiple copies of Skype (Mac) on the same computer is to do this:

    1. Create another user on the mac.
    2. Load up Terminal
    3. Type 'su - USERNAME' (where USERNAME is the shortname of the new user)
    4. Type ./Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype
    5. Voila!

Keep in mind, all settings for that instance are store in the other username's folder/home directory and it will not be able to send files from your home directory.

You can open up the Terminal window by going to Applications - Utilities. Should be in there.

This, http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html walks you through creating another User Account.

    Hope that helps.

Just for your Info Verres, you can have as many Skype accounts as you wish running simultaneously on a Windows PC with just one user account. No need to create a second or subsequent Windows user account.

Thanks Chin_Grin, I have gotten a little closer.
I created a new user and found the Terminal but have a few more questions.
Should I be logged in as my usual user, or as the new one?
Also, do I have to download a second copy of Skype, or do I create a copy of the one I have already?
    Thanks!

Stay in the regular user account. You won't need to redownload or make another copy of the app either. The Terminal command runs the app as if it's in the other user, but both will be on your desktop.

Wow, its actually doing something! I typed it all in and presses "enter" and it asked for my password, but that's where it stopped working.
    Error message is:

-bash: ./Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOS/Skype: No such file or directory

I definitely have Skype, is there anything I could be doing wrong?

    Really appreciate the help!

Substitute this line for step 4:

    open -a Skype

Hi Aidan Walsh, thank you but now it says,
"/usr/bin/open: /usr/bin/open: cannot execute binary file"
    Any idea what next?
