Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rent allowance question

    How long does rent allowance take to come through? What are you supposed to do while you are waiting?

    When you apply for a housing need to your local authority once you have all the relevant forms it takes 2 weeks to get a letter from them to give to your health board to start your application with them.. Mine took about a month from the health board + the 2 weeks waiting for the letter off the local authority..

    Seen as your are suppose to be renting for 6 months before you can apply for the need of a supplement you should have applied for a housing need already, whats an extra month if you've already survived 6 without it..

    Granted people can get stuck so talk to your local health officer and they will be able to point you out to the relevant hostels/homeless shelters while you wait ..
