Ah great to have the Premier League back today!

I'll log my bets here for the season and see how I get on, discussion always welcome! Points system 1-4!

Firstly, I've gone for 3 ante post bets:
    #1. 3pts Tottenham top 6 finish @ 8/13 w/Betfred
    #2. 1pt each way Drogba top scorer @ 11/2 w/PP
    #3. 1pt each way Defoe top scorer @ 18/1 w/Sporting Bet

I've flagged Spurs as my team to follow for the year betting wise. Think they'll have a great season again and are favourites for fourth in my book. Defoe is a consistent finisher and is always there or thereabouts come May. If Drogba stays injury free he's almost unstoppable. But he won't is the worry, as long as he avoids any lengthy injuries, getting odds against on a top 4 finish is excellent value.

Tricky matches today, not too much value floating about but I'll go for one in the opener.
#4 1pt Man City to beat Tottenham corners match bet @ 15/8 w/Ladbrokes
Man City won both corner match bets versus Spurs last season and only lost 13 out of their 38. Spurs are worthy favourites in the market but odds of 4/6 look too short imo.

    #5. Arsenal to beat Liverpool @ 2/1
Arsenal the better side and could dominate
    #6. Arsenal corner match bet @ 9/4 w/Ladbrokes
Arsenal should be favourites imo, they dominate so many teams possession wise that's it's hard to beat them on corners.

Last season Liverpool had 2nd highest average corner count at home(man utd 1st). I think only 3 teams beat Liverpool last season at Anfield for corners...and these stats were from the Rafa defensive tactics. Of course with Roy now in charge and with different ideas these stats could be completely different

Yep, Liverpool are pretty amazing at home on the corners count. Arseanal were one of the teams to beat them on corners at Anfield though! Have a look at the Arsenal away, only lost 2 match bets last season from their 19 away matches. Fancied Arsenal today as I thought they'd control possession, 6-6 on corners atm, here's hoping!

#7 Newcastle to win corner math bet V Man United @ 10s w/Bet365
Man United are corner machines at Old Trafford but 10/1 is just too big a price in this market. Can see United dominating goals-wise but corners could be another matter!

#8 2pts Birmingham to beat Blackburn @ 11/8 (Sky Bet)
Great home record, only losing 2 last season. Matt Derbyshire and Zigic in line to start in a strong looking Birmingham team. Did well last week versus Sunderland and can win this.
    #9 1pt Wolves corner match bet v Everton @ 13/2 (Bwin)
Not a great opener for Everton last week, think Wolves can put them under pressure here.
    #10 1pt Wigan corner match bet v Chelsea @ 33/4 (Bwin)
Chelsea never too impressive on the corner count away from Stamford Bridge.
#11 1pt Tottenham corner match bet V Stoke @ evens (Will Hill)
Can dominate Stoke as they did Man City last Saturday.
    #12 1pt West Ham corner match bet v Bolton @ 11/17 (Bwin)
Bolton won't be seeing much of the ball.

    #13. 1pt Fulham to beat Man United @ 11/2
Excellent record at Craven Cottage, certainly not without a chance.
    #14. 1pt Fulham most corners @ 31/10 (Bwin)
Are able to outplay any team at the Cottage.
    #15. 1pt Newcastle most corners v Aston Villa @ 7/5 (Bwin)
Villa not great for keeping the ball away from home, new manager could change that but 7/5 too good to pass up on.

    #16. 3pts Aston Villa to beat Newcastle @ 7/4
A great price for the better team! You'll get 2/1 on the exchanges.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Clark, Dunne, Warnock, Albrighton, Petrov, Ireland, Downing, Ashley Young, Carew.

Newcastle: Harper, Perch, Coloccini, Williamson, Jose Enrique, Routledge, Smith, Barton, Gutierrez, Nolan, Carroll.

Gulf in class is quite clear.

    #17. 3pts Wigan to keep clean sheet V Hartlepool @ 2/1 w/bet365 (2s Betfair)
Two horrific defensive performances to start the season but they did kept 8 clean sheets in the Premier league last season against better opposition.
I also like to oppose the lesser premier league teams in the cup:
    #18. 1pt Leyton Orient to beat West Brom @ 7/2 w/365
    #19. 1pt Hartlepool -1 to beat Wigan @ 17/2 w/Skybet
    #20. 1pt Southhampton to beat Bolton @ 15/8 w/Stan James

    #21. 1pt Accrington to beat Newcastle @ 6/1 w/ladbrokes
#22. 2pts each way Peter Crounch first goalscorer v Young Boys @ 9/2 w/888 Sport
Can see a few goals for Spurs and he looks over-priced. (Getting 6/4 for anytime scorer looks nice)

    #23. 4pts Trabzonspor -1 to beat Liverpool @ 6/1 w/Boyles
Maximum bet for an excellent price, no Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano, Agger or Rodriguez, Liverpool will do well to qualify. 34 of Liverpool's 58 goals last season came from those injured players! Liverpool one of my teams to oppose again this season.

    #24. 2pts each way Ngog first goalscorer v Trabzonspor @ 13/2 w/Boyles
Great price following on from Crouch last night, likely to play up front on his own, if Liverpool score it's likely to be him.

    #25. 1pt Wigan most corners V Tottenham @ 8/1 w/Bwin
Tottanham not the most impressive on the corner count even at White Hart Lane, are way underpriced here, Wigan like to play their football and can do this at a price.
    #26. 2pts each way Drogba 1st scorer V Stoke @ 12/5 w/Bet365
Chelsea likely to get a good few goals today so it's hard not to imagine Drogba's name on the scoreboard.
    #27. 1pt each way Dimitar Berbatov 1st scorer V West Ham @ 7/2 w/Bet365
Man United in for a few goals today too, Berbatov has impressed so far this season and looks likely to score.

    #28. 1pt Birmingham most corners V Bolton @ 21/10 w/Paddy Power
Have a few pacey attackers who can win corners.
    #29. 1pt West brom +2 to beat Liverpool @ 19/20 w/Sportingbet
Liverpool team to opose this season.
    #30. 2pts each way Cameron Jerome 1st scorer v Bolton @ 10/1 w/VC Bet
Has a great scoring record for City recently.

    #31. 1pt under 2.5 goals Ireland v Armenia @ 13/20 (Bodog)
Can't see anything other than a tight encounter here.
    #32. 1pt Lithuania to beat Scotland @ 9/5 (Betfred)
This looks very close to a 50/50 game, Lithuania beat Austria, Faroe Islands and Serbia at home last qualifying campaign and can beat Scotland tomorrow.
    #33. 1pt Germany to beat Belgium @ 4/7 (General)
Belgium didn't show a lot of quality last campaign and Germany should be far too good.
    #34. 1pt each way Villa 1st scorer V Liechtenstein @ 2/1 (Paddy Power)
    #35. 1pt each way Torres 1st scorer V Liechtenstein @ 5/2 (Paddy Power)
Hard to see Villa and Torres not get on the scoresheet in what could well be a rout.
    #36. 1pt each way Huntelaar 1st scorer V @ 2/1 (Will Hill)
Top quality striker, can slot a half chance in a split second.
    #37. 1pt gerrard to score V Bulgaria @ 7/4 (Sky Bet)
Has scored 19 goals for the national side, could well be switched to a more threatening central role, can get on the scoresheet.

    #38. 1pt Fulham draw no bet V wolves @ 2/5 (Coral)
Fulham excellent goal record, odds of Wolves winning should b much higher so this is the highest value bet.
    #39. 1pt under 2.5 goals Newcastle V Blackpool @ 13/10 (Bet365)
A relegation dog-fight already in the season, neither team will want to lose, not a lot of quality strikking options, could turn into a scrap rather than a game of football.
    #40. 1pt each way Hugo Rodallega 1st scorer v Sunderland @ 7/1 (Ladbrokes)
Expecting goals in this match, and expecting Wigan to nab a few, Rodallega is a good finisher and can exploit Sunderland at the back.

    #41. 1pt Liverpool most corners V Birmingham @ 5/6 (Paddy Power)
Breaking the rule of opposing Liverpool at every turn but it's too good a price to turn down, Liverpool should be on top (on play) in this match and will likely have most possession.

    #42. 2pts each way Marko Arnautovic 1st scorer V Totenham @ 7/1 (Ladbrokes)
Great price as I think Bremen will get a few tonight. Arnautovic has impressed since joinig Bremen, 2 goals in 2 Bundesliga games so far. Pizarro is struggling with a thigh injury so it'll be up to Arnautovic.

Going to start including some spread bets here too, will keep track of spreads separately.
#1. 3pts sell Man United performance at 81 w/ Sportspread
They'd really have to beat Rangers convincingly to get over 81, and even at that they won't go too far past 81. But I give Rangers a chance here, could see them frustrating United, maybe even holding out for a draw. Classic low risk/high reward bet :)

    #43. 1pt under 2.5 goals Real madrid V Ajax @ 7/4 (Sky Bet, Sportingbet)
    Jose basically.
    #44. 1pt MSK Zilina most corners v Chelsea @ 11/2 (Ladbrokes)

    #2. 1pt Sell Time of 1st Marseille goal @ 47 (Sports Spread)
Moscow poor at the back, expect Marseille to get a few tonight.
    #3. 1pt Sell Arsenal/Braga Shirt Supremacy @ 8 (Exrabet)
Matheus (99), Lima (18), Viana (45) and Vandinho (88), expect Braga to score tonight (Maybe a few) so this market could be limitless with those numbers on show.
    #4. 1pt Sell Chelsea performance @ 73 (Sports Spread)
Chelsea poor travellers in Europe, would give Zilina a chance. Another low risk/high reward like last night's bet.

A great day of sport upon us :)
Looks like it could pay to side with the home teams today.
#45. 1pt Everton to beat Newcastle @ 4/6 (Paddy Power, Ladbrokes)
#46. 1pt Stoke to beat West Ham @ 20/21 (VC Bet)
#47. 1pt Aston Villa to beat Bolton @ 8/11 (Boyles, Ladbrokes)

    #48. 1pt each way Van Der Vaart 1st Scorer v Wolves @ 15/2 (Bet365)
Impressive since joining, fancy him to get on the score sheet today, expecting Spurs to net a few!
    #49. 1pt each way Cesc Fabregas 1st scorer V Sunderland @ 13/2 (Totesport)
World class display on Wednesday from a world class player, fancy Arsenal to win handsomely this evening so it'd be no surprise if Cesc pops up.

    #5. 2pts buy Arsenal/Sunderland shirt supremecy @ 15 (Extrabet)
Think Arsenal could put up a big score, with Chamakh (29) up top this could be a large win!

    #6. 2pts Sell Cristiano Ronaldo goal minutes v Auxerre @ 27 (General)
Real Madrid are by no means certainties for this one, away from home in the Champions League they aren't going to come out looking for goals. If they score it'll likely be Higuain and not Ronaldo.

    #7. 2pts Sell Chelsea performance v Marseille @ 78 (Sporting Index)
While Chelsea should win, I wouldn't expect them to score more then 3 goals, especially without their top striker. Expect a tight affair at Stamford Bridge and a one or two goal victory for the home side. Looks like a bet to nothing and it's certainly possible for Marseille to snatch a point.

    #50. 2pts Arsenal most corners v Chelsea @ 56/19 (Unibet)
Chelsea will use lots of their possession in defence and midfield while Arsenal will look to get forwarf more and should have a fair deal of possession.
    #51. 1pt under 2.5 goals in above match @ 11/10 (Bet365, Paddy Power)
Cagey affair with most possession in Chelsea's defence as we see it.
    #52. 1pt each way DJ Campbell 1st scorer v Liverpool @ 16/1 (Bet365)
Looking to oppose Liverpool again, Blackpool aren't a poor team and could certainly strike, Campbell has looked promising in his last few games.

#8. 2pts Sell Cristiano Ronaldo goal minutes v Deportivo @ 41 (Sports Spread)
Ronaldo hasn't seemed at all prolific this season and with firms still not recognising that Real won't be all out attack this season, this seems value.
    #9. 2pts Sell Real Madrid performance v Deportivo @ 82 (Sports Spread)
This is a bet to nothing. Real will find it very difficult to surpass 82 by much but couod certainly drop well below.
