Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well Valdes, Puyol, Pique, Pedro, Xavi and Villa just returned from Mexico the other day so and have not trained since the World cup final so I wouldnt count on all that lot starting. Should still be a decent side though - plenty of good players still availale. Sevilla are a top side and did beat a weakened Barca side in last seasons Copa del Rey first leg tie.

I honestly couldnt say. All that is certain is that you will have a better chance of seeing the big players start at Camp Nou with a weeks training in them than you will tonight. Just thinking about it whatever team plays next weekend will be strong.

Anywhere I can watch this tonight?

10 Barca B players travelling to Sevilla apparently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

None of the 8 Barca World cup winners have travelled to Sevilla and neither has president Rosell - what an idiot.

    Barca squad:
Miño, Oier, Alves, Keita, Milito, Maxwell, Jeffren, Adriano, Abidal, Nolito, Robert Sergi, Thiago, Sergi Gomez, Jonathan, Muniesa, Oriol Romeu, Ibrahimovic, Bojan, Messi

Overall not a bad first half - was expecting more from Sevilla against this weakened Barca side.

Ibra's finish was good was - must have been difficult on the stretch.

Aye, he was well lively in the 3 pre-season games and scored in two of them.

God has decided to grace us with his presence :pac:

    Good game Ibra.

The turn on the wing in the build for that goal by Negredo was absolute class.

3-1 now. Kanoute with his second. Lovely cross.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Where in the name of god was the defending ?

Abidal was just lost there to be honest.

The real Sevilla have turned up in the second half.

What the hell was Abidal doing, horrific defending.

Fairplay to Perotti, great ball into the box.

    Nearly Perotti again!

Who was it trying to say Abidal is good at CB?

Unreal coaches are still trying to play him there.

Not sure anyone said he was good at CB - think it was said he has played there in the past.

Aggh, silly Messi, shouldn't have been that far offside.

What a disgrace from Palop - fcukin hate that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,393 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

    F**king idiot.

I long for the day a player hurts himself when he fake ''collapses''.

Great result for Sevilla, glad to see they didn't just roll over for Barca like they did last season. La Liga needs a challenge to the top 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

That wasnt too bad in fairness- a good workout and experience for younger players.

Playing a pretty much full strength Sevilla team aint easy even when you bring your first team.

The return at Camp Nou should see the return of some of the eight World cup winners.

I remember they rolled over for Real also at the Bernabeu last season.

Couldnt believe they lost that game - really gave Madrid belief.

Well it's not exactly comparing like with like Barca sides.

Jonathan Dos Santos looks better with every game he plays, hopefully he can keep it up. It'll be interesting to see how Pep treats the second leg.

I know, but this last season they would have just given up once they were a goal down.

True. I don't think their squad is deep enough for them to put up a real challenge this season though. It's hard to see it being anything other than a two horse race again.

Perfect result in this for me last night, means Barca should play some of their stars in the return!
