Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That website has got it totally wrong, The sandisk memory isn't fire proof, It was just in a lucky place where the plastic around it melted and actually saved it( weather seals probably melted first letting no oxygen get in) instead of the card being amazingly "fire proof".. Now people all over the world will be wondering why their Sandisk memory card melted when they put it on an open fire.

I'm sure you'll get a number of people who will test it just to see if it's true. :D

Im still going to guess that if the temperature of the fire was enough to completely melt the outer shell of the camera, that the temperature must have pretty damn hot on the inside too.

I also remember reading about a slr that had dropped off a florida pier and 2 months later it was found by scuba divers and all the images were recovered.

Good testament as to how tough the compact flash card is vs other types.

There's nothing for wrong with that Camera.

That's the Salvador Dali Special Edition.
