Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

EXT HARD DRIVE

    My external hard drive broke recently well the mini usb key on the back did. your man in the repair shop said its broke but if I get a new one I can save the info on the drive itself. does anyone know how I do this as there is a lot of info I really can't lose.

    you buy a external drive case,caddy ,open the old unit,take out the drive,place inside caddy.Plug into pc via usb port ,see here

    get a sata caddy ,or
    ide,pata caddy, see above pics, look at drive rear interface,is it sata or ide.
    cost 24 euro ,20 euro peats , maplins.the caddy plugs into pc via a usb cable,
    ide interface is much bigger,wider than sata interface.
    so you put the sata drive inside the enclosure, put plastic tape on the drive pcb,underneath to protect it from short circuits,or static shock, be real gentle,removing ,install the drive.its delicate.
    he means the external, case usb interface is broken,the drive inside should be fine .
    thats just a external connector that goes to a small pcb,connected to the hardrive by a data and power cable.
