Soccer forum will have a field day :pac:
The mods will, but remember that they do have the internet in Amsterdam.
One forum mod must be monitoring their forum while the other mods are with the hookers. The one who has 24 hours with a hooker is excused for the day. :)

Well I already know several Boards users in real life. Also there was a huge thread in the Waterford City forum about the company I worked for going into examinership/receivership and several people I worked with recognised me by my posts in that thread. I'm not bothered to be honest. I understand why some people want to remain anonymous but I don't care.

I guess if you're going to have an opinion then you should be able to say it as yourself, without hiding behind a username.

I can see the benefits of anonymity in areas like "Personal Issues" or "Relationship Issues" alright, but other than that it's kinda cowardly.

Careful... A cereal killer doesn't come for you. You could have pushed somewhere over the edge with your posts on the politics forum. There could be a dreanged FF loyalist plotting your demise somewhere in Ireland. :pac:

I posted something about a particular person on the "Stingy things stingy people do" thread and that person recognised ME from the post but didn't recognise themselves!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 58,456 ✭✭✭✭ibarelycare

Yeah I was recognised by someone who I was in college with who spotted me in the KYN thread. I also happen to get talking to someone over PM who I found out was friends with my sister, now the two of us are good friends!

I realised I knew someone by accident from what they posted on boards, it was really personal stuff so won't say how because if they read it they'd probably realise. Don't know if they know I'm on here though.

On the other hand, Dr.Bollocko also posed naked for boards, and I know for a fact that he regularly walks around Galway without any clothes on.

    It's true.

Bumped into someone in work about a week ago who I thought looked familiar, but dismissed it as they kind of looked a bit like my cousin. Spotted them then in one of the KYN threads a few days later and they've even posted in this thread.

Yes everyone knows I'm the greatest jockey of all time - I get recognised quite often tho it does annoy me when people say "Ah Mr. Fallon you're that guy from Boards" rather than "Ah Mr. Fallon whats it been like to win the Epsom Derby 3 times and be 6 times Champion jockey!" :p

Whats it like to get banned from your job for having a cocaine habit?

    Sounds excellent

Only because the first thing I posted was in response to a thread a work colleague emailed me. It didn't take long to recognise my username.

I think you're confusing Moderators with Prostitutes.
Mods don't get paid. Hookers do.

In saying that, the annual mod holiday is next month. We're all off to Amsterdam, and boards.ie Ltd. are paying for the hookers.

Each Yellow card issued by you entitles you to a hand job.
Red cards issued by you get you a BJ.
    Bans get you full sex.
Yellow card and a ban gets you a hand job followed by sex.
Red cards and a ban gets you a BJ followed by sex.
Permanent forum bans get you a threesome.
If you're the ninth person to Red card someone within two weeks, which results in said person being temporarily site banned, you get Two hookers for 24 hours.

It's going to be a good holiday.

An insight too far. In fact, an appalling vista!

I've a mate that thinks i'm somebody else. It's a name that is a word as gaeilge and he can never pronounce it so not sure of the exact username. It's funny because he is convinced that i am this person and keeps asking me about shít i haven't a clue about. And he won't believe me when i say it's not me. All because there seems to be some similarities about things we've both done.

I had an ex-girlfriend give me grief over a post that was actually about another ex-girlfriend a few years ago.

Really all it showed was that someone had told her my username and she was reading through all my posts.

If she's still reading these posts I'd like to take this opportunity to tell her to go and get a life and stop reading up on me. :)
