I recently finished "1812: Napoleon's Fatal March on Moscow" by Adam Zamoyski which i enjoyed and inspired some interest in me for those times. Anyone recommend a book of Napoleons early successes or his invasion of Egypt? I'd prefer if it focused on the French rather than the british. Thanks

I find Osprey Publishing to be pretty reliable on the napoleonic wars front, their campaign series focuses on individual battles and dissects them from start to finish. The Elite and Men-at-Arms books focus more on the soldiers, tactics and uniforms http://www.ospreypublishing.com/store/French-Napoleonic-Infantry-Tactics-1792%E2%80%931815_9781846032783

Thanks but I'd prefer more wider focus than on just individual battles, Politics and culture of the times etc.

I recently read "Napoleonic Wars" by Charles Esdaile. It's a good read and gives a good overall look at the Napoleonic Wars and the leaders and nations involved.

It might be worth checking out but it isn't completly focused on the French as it looks at the other nations involved in the conflict.

I know you asked for books

But do you listen to podcasts?

Close to 80 hours of listening here, follow Napolean from the very start and covers everything

It's very interesting and well produced
    And free :D
If you have itunes you can get them from there
