    Being the dope i am, I left it to the last minute to order my NZD. I cant get it in time for my flight this weekend

    Could i just bring the Euro and lodge it in to a newly opened NZ bank account?

    Would i have any problems with customs as im going on a 12 month WHV!

    According to this site you are required to declare amounts of €10,000 or more when departing (or arriving) in the EU.

    Then according to NZ Customs you must declare NZ$10,000 or more when entering or leaving NZ. So that is about €5500 at the moment according to XE.com
