Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I'm using a fantom fa76 and I'm happy with it, but even working on the patches, I'm not satisfied with the piano.
I have been suggested to expand it with a srx board and actually I have identified 2 of them for the piano sounds....the srx-02 concert piano and the srx-11 complete piano.

Any experience with them? What are the differences between the 2 boards? Have you got one to sell me? :D:D:D

I felt the SRX-11 card was a huge step up from the SRX-02 card, with a few more usable sounds to pick from. I've sold mine on already though.

There's a couple of demos here to compare:

    Thanks a lot The_g-man,

so I have to look fot the srx-11 one....I had a look to the link you posted but...that sounds are played with what workstation?
The srxs are compatible with many roland machines...from the xv to the fantom series, the sonic cell etc.etc...the have different hardware, different filters and so on, and the sound generated by one should be different from the others.

I had the Fantom X-6 for a while, and the later SRX cards were built specifically for it. When I moved the same cards over to a XV-5080, one or two sounds did not show up, out of about 50-130 on any given card so no huge loss.

SRX-12 is the only one that would give you trouble, as half the patches are specially made for the later model Fantom range.

The quality of the built in fx on any of the different machines could make a big difference, I haven't tried them myself for comparison.

There aren't many SRX-11 cards on ebay at the moment, but these two haven't gone too high yet.
