Feck :mad: My optimus 7 won't read sims anymore. I keep on getting a "sim card is missing or invalid" error :mad:

Even though I bought it off price guard could I send it to phone meanders to get it repaired?

FonFix repairs it under manufacturers warranty and sends it back to ya for free. Worth a look.

Meteor and Carphone Warehouse uses their services.

Not sure about the other carriers. But heard way to many negative responses about FoneMenders :S

Though then again people dont come to praise companys on forums. Only to rant

I was in the process of porting my number to a diffrent operator (tesco mobile) however even other sim cards don't work in the phone anymore. I also did a system reset with no luck On the hardware side of things everything looks fine

@Trevor451 - don't get it personal, but didn't you, by any chance, put SIM a wrogn way in? I did it 2 or 3 times because of tricky shape of SIM holder in Optimus7.

The phone isn't even working on my E900... Nevermind MMS (Which I don't think I've used since 2005 :pac:).

No loudspeaker music or calls either. Stupid phone not being a god-damn phone. Mango better sort this out tomorrow... :mad:

I don't use MMS at all but a couple of my iphone friends don't seem to know how to send a picture by email and keep sending me MMS pictures.

I've updated my firmware to the EU open firmware and updated to the Mango RTM. Everything is running smoothly for me here, I'll check the MMS tomorrow and see if I can receive them.

Handy app here though for those running mango, who like to turn on and off settings often such as wifi and 3g etc, it creates shortcuts on the start menu, its free also; can some one here download it and tell us what its like?

I thought this was the app i was looking forward too...but unfortunately it's not...

All i want is a tile on my home screen that will turn on my bluetooth with one press. Click it and bam it's on. I don't want it to take me to the same bluetooth menu just so i can swipe the on switch across! Grrrr

I got the app your talking about a few days ago. Does what it says on the tin. Lets you pin a shortcut to settings.

There are two of these apps I think at the moment, Network Dashboard and Connectivity Shortcuts. Network Dashboard apparently has the better icons and ability to turn on or off radios with a single tap.

Having said that, I've not used either one since I'm still waiting on an official O2 release for Mango ;-)

PS. Can't wait any longer for official release for my HD7, but don't want to stick on a unofficial rom on this my HD7.... holding out for Mango release on Sep 23rd!!

Mad that the HD2 is roughly 100 quid dearer on expansys than the HD7

Also to buy or not to buy the Titan #Dilemma

Also, no one has said Mango will be released on the 23rd of Sept, just like no one said it would be released on the 15th of Sept. It could be any day starting on the 23rd Sept running to the 21st of Dec. They said it would be released in the "Fall"

Joe Belfiore said it was coming this fall. Fall by their calendar is the 23rd of this month. 2nd it was said it was coming this fall. But not launching this fall. So I don't think there's any missed deadlines yet

I just started using the Groups feature in Mango. Turns out its limited to 20 people per group. Which has rendered it utterly useless to me

I read somewhere that group messaging uses MMS instead of SMS which could be expensive for people who think it's coming out of their text allocation.

I've no interest in the messaging aspect. Its actually so I can see facebook/twitter feeds from specific people.

It would be cool if you could integrate Facebook/Twitter Lists with the group feature. Next update hopefully.

Also, I'd be nice to see Facebooks new privacy features in either the People Hub or the FB app

After years of envying other people with their smart phones, i finally got a windows phone 7.... I think it's the dogs bollix!!! I think it looks better then the i fone graphically. The facebook integration is UNREAL! I think it's class. I know it doesn't have as many apps as the ifone, but it still has ****loads of apps like!

Just wanted top get that of my chest. ah yes! Can someone tell me this tho... what's the story with mango. What exactly is it... when is it meant to be coming out, and... does every single wp7 in the world download it or is there restictions such as costs or whatever else?

Mango is the first major wp7 update that will add around 500 new features and give a speed boost to the os. It will be free to download when its out. Right now its pending manufacturer and carrier approval as microsoft finished the update.

Depending on what phone you got and your tinkering skills you might be able to load it up to your phone already

Its not extremely hard to flash a ROM onto a phone.

BTW WP7 forum is finally waiting for approval. The admin is counting votes and interests so not too far away now people who haven't done so could add their vote still just write +1 on this thread

If you like you're phone now wait till you get Mango on it, it makes the phone far better than it currently is. The facebook integration is much better in Mango as well.

You could try this app. Group SMS. Doesn't say how many people you can add. But I'm sure the dev would answer it to ya.In the trial there a contact dev link. You could ask if they support more peeps if you need 20+ people

You can also make groups for texts and email and have template messages ready to be sent

I have been looking at doing grouping in Sendu, my only concern is how to implement it in such a way that you can fire and forget, I don't think that waiting 5 or 6 mins for 30 or so messages to send would be a good user experience.

Skype will work on all windows mango phones regardless of whether or not they have a front facing camera. The skype app isn't out yet so it's not available for the windows mango phones. I'd expect the Skype app will be released next and then in the next OS update Skype will be integrated into the OS.

There'll be a Lync app released soon as well, and I believe that will work on all phones too.

Not missing anything anyway, app is pretty crap and doesn't have Irish scores.

Got my phone last week, very happy with it and the OS, but the app selection is piss poor after coming from iOS.

Seems Sammy is trying to catch up with a HTC and LG.

They released 3 more apps for Samsung phones.

One of them which is DLNA App called all share should make some Sammy owners happy made me :P
