Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying an Ex-Army Tent?

    Hi Folks,

    Been looking for a while for one of these but no where seems to do them. I'm looking for an Army Mess tent or a similar large scale tent. It must be reasonably high (Say 6ft+ minimum) and also reasonably wide. I've seen a few of them on the internet but they are all in service, none seem to be on the second hand / surplus market. Is there anywhere in Ireland or the UK that sell these units?

    I have looked at the usual white gazebo's but I need a canvas army style tent.

    Have you tried O'Meara's? They have a huge range, including a canvas mess tent which would seem to be suitable for your needs.

    I did try them. Very helpful but the only big tents they do, as in the size I need, are white and allow day light through. I need something canvas and close to black out. Cost was also a limiting factor.

    The DF hires tents, under certain conditions - perhaps you could contact the Bde. Logs Officer and enquire about purchasing tenst that are no longer servicable for the DF?
