RCD not hooked up to some circuits

    Hi,

The RCD in our house tripped yesterday due to a fault with the tumble dryer - exactly as I'd want it to do, however, neither the (induction) cooker nor the lighting circuit went out; everything else did.

Should I really go and ensure that these are hooked up through the RCD too, or is it safe the way it is? If I do need to hook these through, how easy is it to do usually? The fuses for those circuits are all on the same board, so I know the wires to them are definitely close by.

    Thanks!

cookers, lightingcircuits are generally not put on rcd,rcd is usually only protecting socket circuits!
