    Hey Guys,

Just wondering does anyone know who has the most stable connection 2mb+ higher?

I was with Irish Broadband a year or so ago and they were fairly solid, they gone better or worse?

Starting a company that needs a SOLID and QUICK upload. Download doesn't matter.

    You need Fibre really ...

I'm sure more than 2Mbps is possible upload on UPC, ring them.

IBB is now owned by Imagine. Very few new users seem to be getting the BreezeMax. Their WiMax won't give a reliable 2M+ upload.

ADSL won't give more than 512M. If BT still did DSL you might get SDSL.
Ring Magnet and Digiweb see can they offer SDSL (same speed up and down) or even inverted ADSL (384 down and 3Mbps up). Magnet and Digiweb also do fibre.

Typically people used leased lines for this but it's horrible expensive.

Digiweb have a Metro package for Buisness that does 2Mbps upload. Metro is very stable, though wireless. They won't install unless the signal is good enough for stable operation. 3Mbps is available.

Eircom do 12 x 2 mbit for business for around 100pm but you would probably want to be near the exchange.

Watty is right about Magnet and Digiweb doing shdsl and or bonding loads of lines together to give you 2x2 3x3 4x4 5x5 etc, but the prices are ridiculous. The margins on these are huge, but they would sell far more of them if the prices were reasonable.

You looked at what eircom charge for 2Mbps leased lines :D or even the charge for 128k leased line. Mwhahahahaha

Is it possible for an ISP to bond 2 lines together with one of the lines basically inverted. Therefore hopefully providing decent upload and download? It should only costs 2 lines as well! I could do with more than 2 m/bit up where I am. (4 miles from city centre on Malahide road). Magnet were looking for ridiculous money as were Eircom :)

An ISP can technically do this. But getting one to do it is another thing. Only on LLU. Resold Bitstream you can forget.

Its not a residential pack but for the month of august its €300 2mb/2Mb. It 100% depends on location.

A totally different approach perhaps but would your upload requirement disappear if what you're uploading is hosted on a VPS or dedicated server online? That way you'd effectively have unlimited upload/download speed. Just a thought.

Smart will do custom bonded products. You get four lines and run 4mbits up over 2 of them and 4mbits ( or more ) down over the other two. For starters you will need x 4 €20 line rentals a month . Magnet do SDSL in some areas, dunno if they will BOND though.

Also contact UPC Business about their SME products which are very reasonable
