Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How is the game panning out? I'm not near a TV, do Spurs look like getting a goal?

Not really, most of the ball though. Young Boys almost made it 4 on the break there.

3 dives by Pavlyuchenko and not one yellow card.
That could have been game over there.

Lucky to get the two goals they did tbh. Second goal was nearly the exact same as n'Gog' lol

Nice ball from Keane for the goal.. he has been much more effective than Defoe was.

    Spurs should still go through

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭thegen

Spurs lucky to get out of jail after coming up against young boys.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,116 ✭✭✭✭RasTa

Jesus I hope Spurs get through, just so I don't have to put up with the puns if the other team gets United, Chelsea or Arsenal in the group stages.

The most gutless disappointing passionless first 35 minutes of football I've seen in a long time Huddlestone firmed things up but we still looked shaky at times I'll take 3-2 over 1-0 though hopefully next week will see a big improvement the two goals have kept us in this.

I have to laugh at the idiots on Sky Sports trying to blame the pitch for Spurs bad performance.
Typical nonsense from them, any time an English team plays poorly on an artificial pitch they wheel out that ridiculous excuse.

Hope Spurs go through, and get the nazis in the group stages, that would be sweet, also don't wanna see a team called "Young Boys" (WTF :O!!) in the CL ...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Modric and Defoe picked up injuries as well which is dissapointing hopefully not serious.

Could be tricky for them as Wemberly is now partial artificial using Desso fibre.

Some of the puns in here are priceless almost as funny as some of the hatered

Probably been posted but two of the greatest headlines here,

2003, when Young boys were denied permission to put temporary seating in their stadium the Wankdorf.

    2005, when they refurbished.

You DO realize you're much worse than the Sky Sports guys during the World Cup when making endless haha ever so funny puns on the whole Terry affair. And IIRC people found it mostly tasteless and very childish then.

Young Boys Bern is about as 'funny' as Wexford Youths btw. What's the fkn deal eh. I guess the average age on this thread must be about thirteen. Haha 'Young Boys' snigger snigger. Bloody hell...

The Terry thing was a real life situation where people, like Terry's wife and children and Wayne Bridge, got hurt.

All this thread is is a few harmless pun about a football team with a pun-worthy name.

Odd comparison, but your lack of mirth is unsurprising.
