    What kind of qualification do you have to have to be inside this class and who determins it?

    Does your house be in a particular size bracket? Income? Your car?

    Is it a family thing?

    I don't know, I'd always consider myself middle class.

    We've a fairly big house, worth around twice/three times the average. We've a decent income, again, a lot more than average; and a good car per adult. With both parents as teachers, I'd think that would sort of automatically qualify me as (lower) middle class

    Meh... it's not something I think about much, but it's not something I'd have to think about if I was asked

    I've always wondered about how someone qualifies to be "Middle Class".

    But what baffles me even mors is how some people mention even MORE classes Upper this, Lower that....... who are they comparing to?
