Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,

I have been made redundant and I'm about to claim my stamps.

Can anyone advise me on any other benefits that I can claim for?

    Thanks,

Any other benefits will be means tested on your savings, assets, redundancy, other income (incl partner's income), etc.

You maybe entitled to a medical card. If you are paying rent you might get rent allowance from social welfare or if you're paying a mortgage you could get help towards the interest element of the repayment for up to 1 year (I think this is paid through the health board- could be wrong though)

After the end of the year you may also be able to get a refund of unused tax credits. You should also register for revenue's paye anytime service and get a rebate on medical and dental expenses, rent relief, service charges and union subs for the past 4 years if you haven't already done so.
