Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Certainly is. I can see why this isn't a regular gig for him.

this is quite lethargic so far.

very little energy; we need to pick up the pace a bit.

Terrible performance so far. No pace, consistency or rhytm to it at all.

Lucas and Poulsen are not a good pairing for CM, no creativity or vision is slowing play right down!

Someone needs to light a fire under the arses of the liverpool midfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,416 ✭✭✭FreeOSCAR

Reminds me of some World Cup games. Boring.....

    Babel is such a waster.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭thegen

Turks trying to push the pace. Pool look very lethargic. Turks not letting anything happen , persistent fouling.

Aurelio, Babel and Poulsen didnt have any pre-season games.

Maxi only had his sub appearance against Arsenal as well

    Performance looks a bit rusty.

Kryiakos has been superb so far. He's the only one who has stood out.

Babel has been his usual frustrating self. Cole and Maxi haven't been in the game.

Jovanovic is trying without making much of an impact. I haven't been that impressed by Poulsen so far either.

Pretty bad match so far, torres is warming up atleast. Would like to see Babel score, looking unlikely unless he gets some better delivery

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Maxi's been one of our better players so far.

the only one it seems with a bit of oomph about him so far tonight going forward.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,416 ✭✭✭FreeOSCAR

TBH I wouldn't mind if we got knocked out of the Europa League.
Such a distraction, you would swear the Turks were the home team like.

We are playing terrible. Someone needs to tell carra stop hoofing it.

Dont worry once cole gets sent off in a few minutes we'll see a better performance in the second half :p

    Ridiculous post tbh.

The money is badly needed at the club.

This really does have a feeling of pre-season to it, not surprising really.

Poulsen looks like hes playing 5 a side with family members...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭MonkeyTennis

might have been better off playing the kids.

Great finish but overall a very poor half from Liverpool.

Well lets not kid ourselves that was pish - Roy OUT! :p

Seriously, you could tell half the team has played no or almost no football in ages. Hopefully that is the spark and that Torres can come on later and stick a cherry on top.

Has to totally throw out his half-time team talk now.

Interesting that the ball that came to Cole initially wasnt from the Lucas Poulsen CM pairing but from a lucky deflection off one of the Trabzonspor players. I think this CM pairing is a problem so far. Also there is no real alternative on the bench to change things with only Spearing as a replacement.

i am delighted for babel, was worried he'd come of and fade away.

Poor game but the opposition are working their socks off.

    Delighted for Babel.

In fairness to babel hes getting the square root of fk all in terms of service. The midfield could easily be mistaken for a 5 a side on a beach.

I'd be surprised if Poulsen and Lucas regularly played together.
