It looks like that one of the companies (Owens DDB) that helped launching justmobile has asked the High Court for an order winding up IRISH MOBILE MVNO SERVICES LIMITED T/A justmobile with a hearing set for 28 March 2011. (2011/146 COS)

So I might better move my phone number.

Pity for them if so. Just as they finally started doing free data as well.
They seem like nice lads but they got everything wrong from the start.

ye it's sad. I got a free 20 euro sim from them for registering. They seemed nice but it's a very crowded market out there

Nothing about it on their Facebook

If I had bought a phone from them I'd be looking for the unlock code pretty quickly

Think its a shame to see these go but they didn't really offer anything new that we couldn't get with other networks. Their offers were fairly poor. The smaller top ups thing was just silly(no pun intended), and their range of phones wasn't great either. Did they ever get that google phone after christmas?

Pity really. I thought their higher end mobiles phones were in the wrong market.

According to an article in the irish times a spokesman for Just Mobile said “the matter has been resolved”.

Doesnt look like they are going anywhere. They have a couple of new competitions and a survey on Facebook.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,561 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

    Getting competitive now!
Free calls and texts to any network (fair usage) for 18euro/mth and free data while they are testing the system.

Not really have you read what the fair usage is??? 250 minutes of calls OR 600 texts!

Does it mean they charge you if you go above that straight away?

And do you still have 18e to pay for extra calls?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,862 ✭✭✭✭January

Anything above 250 minutes OR 600 texts gets charged at standard rate (you get 250 flexi units, 1 unit = 1 minute of call or 2.4 texts according to the t&c's).

You still have the 18 euro to spend after you use up your units.

It's actually not a bad offer, but don't think it should be advertised the way they are doing it

Completely different marketing on the website. Either its a franchise or the Irish company stole the name.
